We were soundly beaten last Tuesday evening below in Rostellan by a very strong Ballycastle Gaels team. From start to finish they were better in most positions and ran at us and kicked some fine scores. We got a point in each half from two Rían O’ Brien frees. Best for Aghada were Alex Gill, Luke Hickey, Cathal Grehan, Fionn Musgrave, Tim O’ Hanlon and Jake O’ Sullivan. Team Conor O' Neill, Alex Gill, Maidhc Collins, Leon Joyce, Luke Hickey, Colin Crowley, Fionn Musgrave, Luca Hurley, Jake O’ Sullivan, Tim O’ Hanlon, Seán Day, Cathal Grehan, MJ Kearney Duggan, Rían O’ Brien, Cormac O’ Brien subs both  used Ben Eagle and Dylan Crowley.

U14 Division 2 Hurling Championship.                                    Aghada 6-15 Douglas (2)  0-5.             31/05/24

We played Douglas in Round 3 on a lovely evening for a match  below in Rostellan. Our second game in a week against Douglas and we got the right result again after a very solid performance throughout from our boys. From the start we played some good Hurling moving the sliotar well through the lines. From our  half back line through our midfield and into our forwards we put Douglas under a lot of pressure. We got  good  scores in first half from David, Rían, Dara, Cathal and Conor we lead at half time 5-13 to no score. We made 5 subs at half time and while our scoring dropped in 2nd half our workrate didn’t. A good victory but we have 2 big fixtures to come in this group. Best on the night : Dara, Rian,Cormac, Eoin and David.
