On a warm evening in Shanagarry, where hints of summer filled the air, our U16's delivered a commanding performance to secure a great away win.
Aghada started brightly, with Jake Morrissey firing in a cracker of a goal early on. The sides exchanged points in the opening stages, and after 10 minutes, the scoreboard read 0-4 to 1-02 in favour of Aghada. However, from that point, Aghada dominated & played some good passing football, controlling possession & with points from play from Aidan Johnston, Jamie Sweeney & David Murphy, Colman's didn't register another score for the remainder of the half. Aghada  lead 1-7 to 0-4 at halftime.
The second half saw Aghada continue in the same vein, matching their first-half tally with another 1-7. Cormac Cashman netted a goal following a clever pass from David Murphy. There were excellent points from play by Shay Rooney and Matthew Condon and a well taken 45 by Kaylan Cunningham, while goalkeeper Donncha Walsh was assured between the posts with a couple of good saves. With a strong bench impact, Aghada pushed on to finish the game with a comfortable 10-point margin.
A brilliant team performance all round โ€“ well done to all involved!

Great to see our U13 football squad in action as they made the long trip to Mitchelstown on a Tuesday evening. Aghada had a great first half but Mitchelstown fought hard in the second half to claw back the lead . These Aghada boys held in there though and tipped over a number of crucial points and deservedly came out on top 3-09 to 3-08. Well done boys and keep up the hard work in training .

On a lovely evening for a game we came out the wrong side of the scoreboard after a very hard tough battle. From the start scores were hard to come by. At half time we were lucky to be only 2pts down considering the amount of chances Colmcilles missed. Special mention to Seรกn Walsh who made a great double save to keep Colmcilles out. Half time score Aghada 0-2 Colmcilles 0-4. We started the second half alot stronger and 10 mins in we were in front after Jack converted a free to the back of the net and it seemed as though that we had gained the initiative. But in 2 mins Colmcilles had turned it around with 2 rapid goals. We tried very hard right to finish but couldn't turn possession into scores. Special mention to Seรกnie Walsh, Ronan Callanan and Darragh Callanan.

A great afternoon for a game but unfortunately, after a great second half performance we came up short but not without all putting in a huge effort. We had plenty of possession in the first half but couldn't score and at half time Erin's Own lead 1-4 to nil. As the second half got underway we gave away a few goals through ourselves turning over possession but credit to the lads they never gave up and got their rewards as we scored 3 good team goals in the last 15 mins. We looked stronger at the finish but time ran out on us and after a good game Erin's Own got the victory. Final score Aghada 3-03 Erin's Own 4-07. Special mention to Seรกn O' Sullivan, Cormac Byrne, Leon Joyce, Cathal Lehane, Shay Casey and Ben Eagle.
