▪︎U14 Hurling Division 2 Championship▪︎

Aghada 3-18 Fermoy 2-1.             17/5/24

A Comprehensive victory for our boys last Friday evening in a game played in good conditions in Fermoy. From the off we were determined and we were attacking the Fermoy backline through strong play from Jack Kelleher, Eoin Kirrane and in midfield Cormac Cashman and Finbar Alcock. In our half backline we got good scores from David Murphy, Jack and Bobby O’ Riordan. Half time score was  Aghada 1-11 Fermoy 1-0. Second half despite Fermoy getting a early goal we played all the hurling and kept the score board ticking over. We ran out good winners and this group is developing, bigger tests wait for us but for now we have got off to a strong start 2 wins from 2. Best for Aghada Jack Kelleher, Finbar Alcock, David Murphy, Cormac Cashman, Cathal Lowney and Marcus O’Loughlin. Jake O’ Sullivan got a bang on the hand in the first half but hopefully won’t keep him out for too long. Team: Dara O’ Brien, Maidhc Collins, Donncha Walsh, Dylan Kearns, Finbar Alcock, Cormac Cashman, Darragh Callanan, Jack Kelleher, Eoin Kirrane, Harry Burgoyne, Rían  O’Brien, Marcus O’ Loughlin, Jake O’ Sullivan, David Murphy, Bobby O’ Riordan subs all used Cathal Lowney, Conor O’ Reilly, James Irwin, Sam Ahern and Tim O’ Hanlon.                                                               Next game V Douglas in Rostellan Friday 31st at 19.15

This game was played below in Rostellan in very poor weather conditions. We got off to a flying start  through a well finished goal finished by David Murphy. We  got some good scores Conor O’ Reilly finished off a great move to the net and we led at half time 5-5 to no score. Second half our scoring slowed up and Douglas had more of the ball but defending strongly we were the better team and finished up winning well.
