Our league campaigns wrapped up this week, with the U15s playing their final Imokilly League match against Midleton on Wednesday night. Earlier in the week, the U13s also completed their league journey with an away fixture against Carrigtwohill.
 
While none of our teams progressed from the group stages this year, preparations are already stepping up across all age groups as we await confirmation of championship fixtures. The focus now shifts to building momentum and sharpening skills for the challenges ahead.
 
Medal Presentation

In April, we proudly celebrated our 2025 Premier Junior Camogie County Champions as the team received their well-earned county medals. The evening also marked a fond farewell to Aoife Healy, who has embarked on an exciting new chapter in Australia.

It was a memorable night honouring the dedication, resilience and achievements of an exceptional group of players and management. Club President Vera Terry presented the medals, while manager Donal Godfrey made a special presentation to Aoife - a custom training jersey by Roca Sports - to send her off in style as she joins the Fremantle Dockers AFLW.

Huge credit goes to the players, coaches and management team whose commitment and encouragement shaped this unforgettable county-winning season. Everyone at Aghada Camogie wishes Aoife every success and happiness on her new adventure.

Underage
 
Our youngest Aghada Camogie stars have been incredibly busy in recent weeks, taking part in a series of blitzes across the county. They have shown fantastic enthusiasm, teamwork and skill every time they take to the field, proudly representing the club with big smiles and even bigger performances.
 
Our underage teams continue to thrive, with excellent participation and commitment across all age groups.
 
The U6 and U8 girls have been enjoying joint training sessions with Ladies Football each week, developing their skills while having fun and building friendships. The U8s have also taken part in blitzes, with great progress evident throughout the season.
 
The U10s have enjoyed several blitzes, including a memorable evening in Páirc Uí Chaoimh on 17 April hosted by Sars Camogie, which was a fantastic experience for the girls.
 
At U12 level, we have two teams this year. The girls have enjoyed plenty of competitive games through Phases 1 and 2, with Phase 3 beginning shortly and introducing soloing and the size 4 sliotar - a challenge they will no doubt look forward to. Our U11 players have also enjoyed the opportunity to train jointly with Ladies Football and have embraced developing their skills across both codes.
 
With the summer ahead, there’s plenty more action on the way to ensure these future stars continue to learn, grow and enjoy every moment of their camogie journey. The energy and excitement in these groups is infectious, and we can’t wait to see what the next few months bring.
 
 

Our U14 girls have had a fantastic run in the Group B County League, finishing undefeated with two wins and a draw.
 
Our U16 team has been highly competitive throughout their league campaign, showing great dedication and commitment. We would also like to wish those girls who have begun their Junior Certificate examinations the very best of luck.
 
Minor
 
Our Minor team has had a disrupted campaign, with a number of fixtures not going ahead. However, whenever they have taken to the field, the girls have shown great commitment and delivered some excellent performances.
 
We would also like to wish all players who have begun their Leaving Certificate examinations the very best of luck in the weeks ahead.
