It has been a busy and exciting start to the season for Aghada Ladies Football, with fantastic performances and strong participation across all age groups. The commitment, teamwork, and enthusiasm shown by our players and mentors have set a positive tone for the months ahead. 

Our Senior Ladies opened their league campaign in style with an impressive victory over Naomh Abán and Mourneabbey. Displaying great determination and skill, the team secured a well-earned win and laid down a strong marker for the season.

 

At underage level, our U16s kicked off their East Cork League campaign with a hard-fought win against Glanmire in very challenging conditions. Goals from Annelies Wolter and Erin Ryan proved decisive in a thrilling contest, with Aghada emerging victorious on a scoreline of 3-08 to 3-06. 

Our U12s began their season against a strong Inch Rovers side on a windy Sunday morning. Despite tough conditions, the girls battled bravely and gained valuable experience that will stand to them as the season progresses.

Meanwhile, our U13 and U14 players came together to field a mixed team for a challenge game in Aghada, demonstrating excellent teamwork and club spirit. Our U11s also enjoyed their first joint football and camogie training session of the year, which proved a tremendous success and showcased the bright future of our club. 

Adding to the excitement, our young players proudly represented the club at Féile in Cobh, showing resilience and great energy despite difficult weather conditions.
