Juvenile GAA News 11/04/2026 by Juvenile PRO Helen Walsh

We are delighted to be back for the 2026 season, with great activity across all age groups in both hurling and football.

It’s fantastic to see all our younger members, from U6 right through to U11, back training every Tuesday and Friday evening. A special welcome to our newest U6 players, who took to the field for the very first time last Friday—great to see such enthusiasm and energy on display. Boys born 2020/2021 are welcome to join.

Our U8, U9, U10 and U11 groups are continuing their involvement in Go Games both home and away in hurling and football. These games provide a brilliant opportunity for players to develop skills while enjoying their sport.

Féile Peil na nÓg :Last weekend saw the running of Féile Peil na nÓg Football. Our first team hosted Fermoy and Glenville and recorded a great win against Fermoy in their opening game. They were unlucky in their second outing, with Glenville grabbing a late goal to win by two points and going on to top the group.

Our second team travelled to Glanmire, where difficult conditions due to Storm Dave made for a challenging day. Despite a strong effort, and after 3 battling matches it was Ballincollig who topped the group. Attention now turns to Féile Hurling, which will take place on Saturday, May 2nd, and we wish all involved the very best of luck.

U14 Hurling Blitz: We also hosted our first blitz of the year on March 28th, which proved to be a great success. With three visiting teams taking part, there was plenty of competitive action, and we were delighted to come out on top after a strong performance, finishing with a win over Youghal in the final. Well done lads.

Imokilly U15 Football :  Imokilly U15 Football team were due to play their first ever Premier 1 fixture on Thurdsay night against Douglas in Rostellan, but this was postponed due to the fuel crisis.
