A Chara,

It feels like I’m saying this for the last number of weeks but we have another huge weekend of championship action ahead. We have three massive footballs games down for decision. Up first this evening, our Premier Intermediates Footballers face Kilshannig in the final group game of the Bon Secours Football Championship. A win here will see us progress to the knockout stages of the competition so our lads will be hoping to hit the ground running when they hit the pitch in Glenville at 6:30pm. Tickets for this game are only available online at the below link: Buy Here

Best of luck to Manager Philip Moore, his selectors, Captain Ed Leahy and all the players as they aim to return to the quarter finals of the competition again this year.

Tomorrow Sunday, Our Junior A Footballers face Carraig na bhFear in the SEMI FINAL of the East Cork Junior A Football Championship. The lads have played some brilliant football so far in the competition but will be the underdogs heading into the fixture when they face a fancied Carraig na bhFear side. This is a huge opportunity for our club to reach the East Cork Final so please make every effort to support the lads in Cobh tomorrow evening. The match throws in at 6pm. Tickets are priced at €8 and are available at the gate.

Best of luck to Manager Matthew O’Connor, his selectors, and all the players involved.

One would expect that would be enough excitement for a few weeks but on Monday night our Junior C Footballers face Glenbower Rovers in the QUARTER FINAL of the East Cork Championship at 7:45pm in Rostellan. The lads have a good record of reaching the latter stages of this competition in the last number of years so will be hoping for a positive result on Monday night. Best of luck lads.

On a different note the annual Thomas Kent commemoration takes place in Rostellan at 2:30pm today. Please do support the event if you can. Tomorrow Sunday, Aghada GAA club are part of the Feast Festival from 10am-12pm as The Sideline Café hosts ‘A Coffee and a Canter’. Call down to our grounds in Rostellan, treat yourself to a coffee or mineral and enjoy a stroll along our beautifully scenic walkway.

So all the big pundits on television are telling us that the big games are taking place in France this weekend. Well they are slightly mistaken as the most important games in our eyes are taking place in East Cork. The biggest of them all in Glenville tonight. Please make every effort to support our three teams over the next three days.

Premier Intermediate Football Championship Vs Kilshannig in Glenville at 6:30pm tonight.

Junior A Football Championship SEMI FINAL Vs Carraig na bhFear in Cobh at 6pm, tomorrow Sunday.

Junior C Football Championship QUARTER FINAL vs Glenbower Rovers in Rostellan at 7:45pm on Monday.
